Fiesta...New from Lang Yarns

I was filled with joy when I unboxed Fiesta from Lang Yarns and couldn't wait to get it on my needles!

Fiesta is a vivid, playful yarn that blends cotton and nylon for a distinctive dynamic and colorful character! The yarn is constructed by wrapping a white cotton core with multi-colored nylon thread, more in some places and less in others. The yarn takes on a different look according to the color and thickness of the wrapping. 

I chose to knit the Murano Squares Bandana combining 1 ball of Fiesta #4 and 1 ball of Zooey #45 Goldenrod and I love my finished piece!

Quick Baby Knits

I get asked by so many customers for ideas for baby knits, so I was excited to discover a blog posting with suggestions for several quick and affordable baby projects.

I picked the Quick Oats cardigan and made models for the shop. I knit one cardigan using 1 skein of Mecha by Malabrigo and one cardigan using 1 skein of Bud by Juniper Moon Farm. These knit up fast for me using US 10 needles and I used every last inch of yarn on each! And I had such a fun time choosing the buttons to finish them!

Both yarns are super soft and machine washable, so you can pick between merino wool and cotton for your next baby gift!

Due to the H&H trade show that is happening during the 1st week of May, Sip & Stitch will be on the 2nd Wednesday in May, the 14th! Mark you calendar now to join us on Wednesday May 14th from 4-6PM for this fabulous, fun, & FREE event.
