It’s Just a Joke”: Humor through a Feminist Lens
Monday, March 31st, 3:30pm -4:30pm
Women's Center Living room
As April Fools' Day approaches, join us for a critical look at humor and its impact. We'll explore the damaging effects of misogynistic jokes and how they perpetuate a culture of oppression and prejudice.
It's time to stop joking around and get serious about the harm caused by jokes or pranks.
Light snacks and drinks will be provided, so come and join the conversation – it's no joke!

Popcorn, light snacks, and refreshments will be provided!

STEMinist Network
The STEMinist Network is a drop-in program that creates opportunities for gender marginalized undergraduate students in STEM to connect and build community within the larger context of STEM as a male dominated field.
We focus on gender and science, community building, and professional development. We use the term “gender marginalized” to recognize the impact of sexism on many communities including, but not limited to, transgender women, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, and gender non-conforming individuals. STEMinist Network is open to all undergraduate students in STEM majors.
