WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COVID-19
It is important that all COVID-related situations continue to be reported to campus principals or campus health coordinators, even during virtual learning. Quarantine timelines can span anywhere from 7 to 24 days or more, so even when a family experiences COVID over a brief virtual school period or school break, student quarantines do not necessarily end when school resumes. Please contact campus principals or campus health coordinators to report any of the following: 1) Students experiencing COVID symptoms; 2) Household members experiencing COVID symptoms.
COVID SCREENING GUIDE FOR PARENTS - Every morning, parents should utilize this daily screening tool from the Indiana State Department of Health to determine whether or not to send your child to school.
COVID LINE FOR REPORTING - We have a dedicated phone line at ECS for reporting a positive COVID case in your family. If an ECS student or immediate family member receives a positive COVID test result, we're asking that you call the following number: 812-470-5423. That phone will be monitored by a rolling member of our administrative staff who will instruct you on next steps.
REMINDERS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
SCHOOL IN-SESSION NEXT MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15 - Please remember that Monday, February 15th is a snow make-up day, so school will be IN SESSION.
ATTENTION 7TH & 8TH GRADE PARENTS! The Indiana 21st Century Scholarship Program is an early commitment college program offering eligible students up to four years of paid tuition at an eligible Indiana two-year and/or four-year college or university. The goal of the early commitment promise program is to encourage students and families to plan for and attend college.

To receive the 21st Century Scholarship, students must meet income eligibility requirements and sign up in the 7th or 8th grade. In order to apply you will need to set up a ScholarTrack account by clicking HERE. After that is complete, you will be able to submit an application.

If you are ordering more than one yearbook for children in your family (for example, you have a 3rd grader and a 9th grader), please submit separate order forms in order to avoid confusion so it is clear which yearbook you are ordering.
ELEMENTARY CAMPUS UPDATE
Join us through Tuesday, February 16th as
ECS families & friends are invited to pray over and sign the last beam
that will be placed in our new elementary campus!
Through Tuesday evening, February 16, Skanska has set out the LAST IRON BEAM to be placed in our building. We are inviting any of you who wish to brave the cold over the next coming days to come sign the beam, write scripture, and pray over it before it is set in place to fully support our new home for Christian education.

The beam is set right off the high school student parking lot, and there are baggies with markers and paint pens available or you can bring your own! Skanska was even kind enough to remove all of the ice from the beam. How kind. :)

As an added bonus, we’re going to live broadcast (Facebook Live) the beam being set into the building on Wednesday, February 17. Stay tuned for that information.

So COME ONE, COME ALL as we commit our work to the Lord, that our plans may be established (Proverbs 16:3)!

If you take any pictures of your family/friends signing the beam, please send a picture to kristadecker@evansvillechristian.org. We would love to have a memory of you taking part in such a special time in ECS history!
HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHT
ECHS has TWO finalists in the University of Evansville’s 6th Annual High School Changemaker Challenge. Since the pandemic required the University of Evansville to host the competition virtually, there were entries from Nigeria to California to Pennsylvania! See finalists at www.evansville.edu/cc-hs.

On Monday, February 15th, Madison Lucas and Barak Hall will compete virtually for scholarships at the UE Changemaker Challenge. The Mayor of Evansville, UE's President, and many other community leaders will serve as judges. We hope you’ll join us in praying for and congratulating these wonderful young Changemakers by sharing the news of their achievement!
