The Message this Week

Preaching Text: Galatians 1:13-17; 2:11-21

The gifts and challenges of zeal. Another word for zeal is ‘passion’. We are encouraged to follow our passions. There's nothing wrong with this as a concept, but in practice sometimes zeal or passion puts blinders on us and we get out of balance. What will restore the balance? Paul has a suggestion for the Galatians and for us.

Mighty God, may our zeal for You be zeal for Your people. To touch others with compassion and care as Jesus did. In His name we pray, Amen.

• Help us to set our egos aside and care for one another.
• Bless the memories of those who have gone before us, and help us to honor their lives by living faithfully in our time.

These and the prayers of all creation we lift to you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Is it easier for you to extend grace or receive grace?

Sunday School students raised $468.42 in 2025 for Marklund! Marklund is a nonprofit organization that serves infants, children, teens and adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs.

Swedish Days is June 18-22 and we need narthex volunteers to allow us to keep our bathrooms open through the festivities as well as volunteers for the Swedish Pancake Breakfast on June 21. Click HERE to sign up for narthex and HERE for pancake breakfast.

The women's group, GIG, will be meeting Tuesday, June 3 at 8PM at Geneva Ale House. Contact Faith Sax for more information.

Radical Love provides programming and childcare for children of both refugee learners and adult volunteers during it's Summer Friendship & Learning Program. Student and adult volunteers are needed. Children younger than 8th grade must attend with a volunteering parent. Click HERE for more information!
