Preparing to Care for Seniors
Greetings!

More and more of us are caring for seniors in our lives. Whether it's as a health practitioner, or whether we are caring for our elderly parents or loved ones. It's so important for us as caregivers to have the resources we need to provide ultimate care.

I'd like to introduce you to a special person in my life. Michele Talbot has been my webmaster and friend for over 10 years. She has been working on a project that is near and dear to her heart, and I'd like to introduce her to you. Please scroll down to learn more about Prepare 2 Care - an important resource that I hope you will share with your patients and loved ones. And she even has a free gift for you!

I also have provided some laser protocols below that will come in handy when treating elderly patients.

Dr. Jerome
Thanks, Dr. Jerome, for that wonderful introduction! This is Michele, and I'm so happy to introduce Prepare 2 Care to Dr. Jerome's fellow practitioners. I have met many of you throughout the years in my role as webmaster for Performancepractic.

Prepare 2 Care was created during my experience caregiving for two of my elderly family members. During that time I often felt at a loss for resources and support in my caregiving journey. So I decided to do something to help others who are caring for seniors.

I have partnered with my good friend Linda Larson, who is an RN with years of experience in hospice and senior care. Together we have created our Prepare 2 Care website where you'll find all the tools and support you'll need. We have great advice from professionals, product recommendations and we even have an online streaming channel. Think of it as Netflix for caregivers!

I hope you'll sign up for our email list and share Prepare 2 Care with your patients, friends, and family.

Please check it out at www.prepare2care.co.

Use Coupon Code P2CPREVIEW to get your first month of our streaming video channel for only $5!

When you sign up for our email newsletter, we will send you a downloadable Vital Information Form for Seniors. This is a great place to collect all of your loved one's important medical information, so you'll have it at your fingertips in case of an emergency.

If they are oozing bedsores, the increase in circulation created by the laser may increase exudate. This is not harmful or over-treating but the extra clean-up may be a hassle so perform time that does not cause this to happen. And increase treatment time as the exudate decreases and the outer layer heals. If the wound is infected, of course, refer to the proper licensure, but you may perform additional time beyond 10 minutes on other settings such as “infection” or “immune enhancement.”
