Greetings! We hope you can join us for the next SCALE meeting, either in person at the LINK Event Center (2200 Trail of Dreams, Prior Lake, MN 55372) or via Zoom, this Friday, May 8 (see below for the login information).
After the usual welcome from Chair Mayor Chris Kostik (Credit River), Scott Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Director Troy Kuphal will provide the meeting host update.
Happy trails...
Spring has finally arrived, and people are itching to get outside and enjoy the season in all its glory -- and for many people, that means hitting the trails. Scott County Administrator Lezlie Vermillion and County Planning and Resource Management Director Brad Davis will provide a look at the current regional trail system -- and what the future holds as opportunities arise for new trail connections between our cities and out to neighboring counties.
Water, water everywhere… and every drop is precious
Scott County Environmental Services Manager Kate Sedlacek, County Water Resources Supervisor Vanessa Strong, and Water Resource Scientist Ole Olmanson with the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will share data, discuss trends, and present a few success stories on progress being made to clean up our local lakes, rivers, and streams – and provide information on efforts to protect our groundwater resources.
Open Forum
And as usual, we'll round out the morning's agenda with an Open Forum, a time dedicated to opening up the meeting to any member who wants to share any news, upcoming events, or celebrate successes!
We hope you can join us in person or via Zoom on May 8 from 7:30 to 9 AM. See below for how to access the meeting virtually.
The entire agenda can be found here.
