Coach Guinta Court Dedication



On Friday, December 20 Elyria Catholic welcomed over 50 former EC basketball players from all generations to celebrate the legacy of Coach Bob Guinta. In addition to our alumni basketball players, many other former students and community members gathered between the girls and boys varsity basketball games for a ceremony to dedicate the coliseum floor in Coach Guinta’s name. President Annie Heidersbach led the crowd in prayer followed by a moment of silence to honor Bob Guinta’s wife, Shirley, who passed away December 15, 2024. 

While Bob Guinta’s health did not allow him to travel from Missouri to Elyria Catholic for the event, he was able to visit the court this past summer alongside Shirley.

Night at the Races

Alumni Hockey Game



Alumni hockey players gathered on the ice on December 21 for the annual Alumni Hockey game. 27 former players came together to show loyalty truly never dies!
