WILPF US has continued to track the militarization of Africa since the December 4, 2020, AFRICOM webinar. Our March 26 webinar, “Honoring African Women”, brought a personal and individual face to the many kinds of activism in response to the militarization of the African continent.
WILPF’s Call for Peace campaign opposes the massive military expenditures of the United States. Society needs those funds for human needs here in the US and for our African partners! By reducing military spending, we can form sustainable communities on an enduring planet.
