Over 700 People Celebrate Engineering & Manufacturing with PADT at Nerdtoberfest

We were worried we could never top the success of our 30th Anniversary and Nerdtoberfest 2024. We were wrong. We had 801 people registered, and on top of that, a bunch of people (you know who you are) showed up even after we sold out. Which was just fine with us. Our estimate is between 650-750 people joined us in the parking lot to celebrate this growing and vibrant community.

This blog post covers all the big highlights, Nerdtoberfest by the numbers, and a big photo slideshow.

Amping up Application Engineering Skills in 3D Printing: AE Tech Days at Stratasys/Penske/NASCAR

Sometimes, to get ahead, you just have to get away – and then focus. Recently, I had the chance to do just that during the Stratasys AE Tech Days training event held at Penske Racing in Charlotte NC. Admittedly, the awesome surroundings tugged a bit at the focus but it was all in the spirit of identifying, understanding, and improving applications of 3D printing inside industrial environments.

Ansys LS-DYNA is the most used explicit simulation program in the world and is capable of simulating the response of materials to short periods of severe loading.

PADT’s engineers have been using this tool since it was a government code called Dyna3D. We can’t say enough about the power and flexibility of this software tool. It’s rare that our answer to the question, “Can you do this type of difficult simulation?” with, “LS-Dyna can probably do it.”
