Atlantic Legal Foundation Chairman & President Hayward Dan Fisk is pleased to announce that at its Board Meeting in Washington D.C. on October 29th, Mark A. Walsh, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited (AEGIS), was elected to ALF’s Board of Directors. Dan stated: “Mark has already shown his value as a new Director with constructive contributions to the pursuit of ALF’s objectives as addressed in its recent Board meeting . . . welcome to our distinguished leadership team, Mark.”

Mark A. Walsh is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for AEGIS, a Bermuda Mutual insurer serving the North American utilities and energy sector. He is responsible for the management of the Company’s legal, regulatory and compliance functions.  

Prior to joining AEGIS, he practiced law for twenty years with global law firms and represented insurance and energy industry clients in a variety of matters in federal, state, administrative and arbitration proceedings.

Earlier this year, Leo Hurley Jr. was appointed to ALF’s Advisory Council. Leo is a seasoned litigator with a proven record of success in obtaining favorable jury verdicts, as well as guiding matters to resolution and early settlement, and is routinely called upon to represent corporations and individuals in high-stakes, high-profile and “bet the company” litigation.

Leo litigates a wide variety of civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts in New Jersey, New York and across the country. His practice includes the litigation of a wide variety of complex commercial matters and white collar criminal defense and investigations, as well as employment, cannabis, securities, class actions, trade secret, and corporate dissolution/oppressed minority shareholder litigation. He serves as Co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and White Collar Criminal Defense Groups.
