LOS ANGELES COUNTY UPDATES

EARLY WARNING:

At today's LA County Planning Deputies meeting the Planning Department announced information on the Green Zones Ordinance. They are preparing for a soft ordinance release date on Friday, May 22nd, and the comment period will be open for a 60-days. Regional Planning Commission will then hear the Draft this Winter in November or December. We will provide more information upon the release of the Draft.
COUNTY ART FEE:

According to the LA County Art Commission staff, the LA County Art Fee will be postponed from the May 26th Board of Supervisor’s hearing to September 1st. Thank you for your delay request efforts - our actions are making an impact.

COUNTY RELEASES BY-RIGHT ORDINANCE:

The County sent out an Alert on the introduction of the By-Right Housing Ordinance. The draft ordinance will be heard at Regional Planning on Wednesday, June 17 at 9 AM. BIA-LAV will be providing an analysis and a letter for your review in the coming days.
