YWCA Delaware CEO Melissa Gonville Featured on UMACO Weekly Update

In the latest episode of UMACO Weekly Update with Kemal Erkan, Melissa offers an inside look at what it takes to support more than 8,500 Delawareans each year through YWCA Delaware’s housing programs, 24/7 crisis services for survivors, economic empowerment initiatives, youth development programs, and community advocacy.

She speaks candidly about:

  • The real impact of recent funding losses on essential housing and sexual assault services
  • How inflation and changes to SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid are affecting families already struggling to make ends meet
  • The growing crisis of affordable housing shortages across the state
  • The innovative ways YWCA Delaware is stretching every dollar

Deck the Halls for a Cause

YWCA Delaware is honored to be a featured charity in Delaware Park Casino’s Deck the Halls for a Cause silent auction! From November 26 to December 21, guests can visit the casino to bid on beautifully decorated holiday trees designed by local nonprofits. The highest bidder wins the tree and all gifts undeneath!

Every dollar raised from our tree supports YWCA Delaware’s housing, crisis response, economic empowerment, youth, and advocacy programs.

Giving Tuesday: Double the Impact with Employee Match Programs

Why give to YWCA Delaware?

“I support YWCA because I want to help those in a time of need in my community, and I trust YWCA to put my gift to excellent use based upon their longevity and proven impact across Delaware.” — Nancy Crake, Vice President, JPMorgan Chase
