PACC’s Stanley Skoczen Awarded Polish Presidential Golden Cross of Merit


          CHICAGO, IL (May 16, 2022) - The Polish American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) is pleased and proud to announce that the awardees of Polish state medals granted by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago on May 11, 2022, included Chairman of the PACC’s Advisory Board and former President of the Board Stanley Skoczen. The medals were presented on behalf of the President by Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President, Minister Adam Kwiatkowski.


Poland’s First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda who participated in the ceremony addressed the honorees indicating that the awards were an expression of gratitude for their actions, which are of great importance for continuous strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between Poland and the United States. 


Stanley Skoczen was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for his outstanding contributions to the development of Polish-American cooperation. A PACC member almost from the beginning of its organizational life in 1994, Skoczen has owned and managed several businesses since settling in the Chicago area almost four decades ago. He presently runs Omega Structures, Inc., a successful construction and real estate development company. In addition to his PACC involvement, he is a prominent member and frequent supporter of the Polish American community and its causes.


According to the current PACC Board President Iwona Filipiak, “Stanley received this distinguished award for his outstanding voluntary work and, very importantly, for his support of and work with the PACC as an organization. I would like to congratulate and thank Stanley for his patriotism, loyalty, dedication, commitment, time, work, and exemplary service. I am very proud and feel blessed to be working alongside Stanley as he has been an invaluable contributor for years in the life of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce.”
