During our annual Peer to Peer Bridging Mobility Campaign, athletes share their personal mobility journey with friends and family and ask for financial support for the life changing programs Bridging Bionics Foundation offers.

Each athlete at Bridging Bionics is gifted up to three hours of physical therapy per week, translating to an annual amount of $11,700 in direct physical therapy sessions with access to our advanced therapeutic devices. With 64% of the athletes that Bridging Bionics serves who need financial assistance, our Bridging Mobility Campaign is designed to go directly towards scholarships that will cover their annual $500 program fee. By mobilizing together we hope to raise a total of $20,000 for this cause.

We Have Met Our Goal!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Miles on a Mission campaign! With your help we have gone above and beyond our original goal. Every donated mile will ensure we can fly our wheelchair dance champions from Manilla to Aspen for the Rise Up Gala.

On a daily basis you can find Maria Grufstedt working with our athletes in her kind and patient way. She is always asking them important questions about their families, jobs, and health, and pays special attention to their specific needs when it comes to their physical therapy sessions.

Maria was raised in Sweden where she received her formal training in physical therapy. In her home country, healthcare is socialized, which is why she understands how unique Bridging Bionics' commitment to affordable access is here in the States. Not having to deal with billing health insurance companies means she can provide the best care that our athletes really need. To Maria, this is priceless and "a therapist's dream"!

Maria has been with Bridging Bionics for the past 7 years and feels, "it is an honor to be a part of this unique organization". We think it is an honor to have her on our team and can't express enough what she brings to the organization and our athletes everyday!

Bridging Bionics' annual Rise Up Gala on Sunday, July 9th is a sophisticated and inspirational fundraising event that supports our mission of helping those with mobility impairments to walk and move again. As a part of the evening’s entertainment, guests will enjoy dinner, dancing, and a live auction. Additionally, we are excited to host 3-time world champions in Para Dance Sport and Pilipinas Got Talent- Julius Jun Obero and Rhea Marquez.
