The Society’s governing documents are periodically reviewed by Society leadership in coordination with IEEE. The most recent prior update was completed in 2018. As part of the Society’s IEEE review this year, a comprehensive review of all Society documentation, including the Society Constitution and Bylaws, was conducted in close cooperation with IEEE. The amendments were approved on 17 November 2025 by the IEEE EMC Society Board of Governors and approved by IEEE TAB on 26 January 2026. In accordance with the procedures for amending the EMC Society's Constitution and Bylaws, these amendments become effective 30 days after publication unless ten percent of EMC Society members object.
