Honoring Service and a Milestone Birthday!

Last month, we had the privilege of celebrating an extraordinary woman, Marie Witt, as she marked her 90th birthday and retired from her dedicated volunteer service to CRS.

For 5 years, Marie has been dedicated to the CRS food pantry where she helped process food donations, packed groceries and kept the pantry extremely well organized! Her warm spirit will have a lasting impact on the CRS staff and the other volunteers she worked with. As she steps into a well-earned retirement, we extend our deepest gratitude to her for her remarkable dedication. Additionally, we hope her milestone birthday was filled with joy, love, and the appreciation she so greatly deserves.

Thank you, Marie, you are a true inspiration!

Our recent Wine Bingo fundraiser was an incredible success, bringing together wine lovers, bingo enthusiasts, and supporters of CRS for an unforgettable evening of fun and fundraising. With a packed venue, lively competition, fantastic prizes and raffles, the event exceeded all our expectations!

Beyond the laughter and fun, the real winner of the evening was CRS. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and donors we raised over $11,000! These funds will go a long way in helping us continue our work and make a meaningful impact in our community.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to the success of this event. Your support makes all the difference, and we can't wait to host another exciting Wine Bingo in the future!

Eastview Elementary Collects Cereal for CRS,

Creates a Domino Effect of Kindness

Eastview Elementary School recently turned generosity into a fun and memorable event by hosting a cereal box collection for the CRS Food Pantry. Students and families came together to donate 320 boxes of cereal, demonstrating their commitment to helping those in need. To celebrate their achievement, the school lined up the cereal boxes throughout the hallways and set them off in a massive domino-style chain reaction. Cheers erupted as the boxes tumbled one after another, symbolizing how one small act of kindness can create a ripple effect in the community. Eastview's creative approach to giving back not only provided much-needed food for those in need but also showed students the power of teamwork and generosity. This heartwarming initiative is a reminder that even small gestures can have a big impact.

THANK YOU EASTVIEW!

Since the Avon Meijer store opened in May 2019, they have donated more than $43,000 in food cards to CRS! THANK YOU for supporting this incredible program!
