Now Available: Framework for Nutrient Bioavailability Algorithms

Published in Advances in Nutrition, ILSI U.S. & Canada developed a comprehensive framework for developing nutrient bioavailability algorithms, now available here. This work outlines how bioavailability-based approaches can help drive improvements in global nutrient adequacy and food system transformation.

We are continuing this effort with nutrient-specific algorithms for iron, protein, calcium, and more. Interested in contributing to this initiative? Reach out to us at research@ilsiuscanada.org.

Infant Nutrition Science Coalition

The Infant Nutrition Science Coalition (INSC), a tripartite initiative focused on advancing research on human milk and infant nutrition facilitated by ILSI U.S. & Canada, held its first Quarterly Update Call on June 6, 2025. This meeting provided an overview of the INSC as well as exciting updates on a developing publication, working group activities, and future plans. Watch the recording here.

These guidelines will offer both consumers and healthcare practitioners science-based insights into their health benefits.

Thank you to our partners: American Pistachio Growers, Amway, Bausch & Lomb, Kemin, OmniActive, and Pharmavite for supporting all our bioactive initiatives.
