Open Doors for His Word

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored,

just as it was with you.

2 Thessalonians 3.1

God has opened the door for us so that his word can spread among the Mozambicans. We have been sowing his word in a group of 10 women from a local village, who participate in the discipleship group every Sunday. God is transforming their lives by their encountering the Word of Life and we can see the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts. 

With a celebration party we delivered the bibles, which they received with great joy as it was the first time they had a bible in their hands.

New Discipleship Group

At this moment we are making a reading plan on the book of Matthew, in order to read the 4 gospels and deepen our understanding of Christ's teachings.

Simultaneously we have a new group of women who have started in the month of September, who will receive their bibles after completing the first part of the discipleship. God's work is multiplying!

We also accompany this discipleship process with regular visits to their homes, which is an opportunity to get more involved in the Mozambican culture, spread the gospel message to the whole family, and encourage the women to witness what God is doing in their lives to the rest of their families and neighbors.

Rosalita's Story



We thank God for allowing us to continue to expand! I want to tell you about Rosita, one of the women who has been participating in the discipleship group since last year and God has been working in her life, and has placed in her the call to share her faith with other women. So for 4 months we were sharing the word in the home of a family, where God brought restoration and reconciliation among the neighbors who participated by encountering the message of the gospel.

We have been praying for God to guide us to which families we should approach and that same afternoon when we were returning two women call us from afar and tell us when we could go to visit them because they wanted to receive prayer. So we started to visit new families in the village to bring the word of God. 

A local church also joins in! 

One of the local churches has agreed to join the discipleship course. A group of young people enthusiastic to learn more about Jesus have shown a lot of interest in learning about the Bible and are happy to have one for the first time in their lives.  In the month of September we have started to have meetings with them and God is working in their lives, bringing understanding about grace, salvation and new life in Jesus.

Prayer Requests

• Grace, wisdom and anointing from on high to teach and share His Word. 
• For the women, youth and families who participate to have spiritual understanding of the grace and salvation of Christ. 
• For growth in faith and obedience to the Word. 
• For God to call and raise up new workers in these groups to multiply into more disciples.
