Greetings Connect K8 Families,

We wanted to send follow up information regarding the recent announcement (pasted below) about Da Vinci Schools' Visitor Policy around campus events.

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting Exhibition in-person this Fall! Exhibition is currently scheduled for Tuesday 12/7 and Thursday 12/9 from 4:30pm-5:15pm and 5:30pm-6:15pm. Exhibition will be split into two shifts to mitigate the number of people on campus and in classrooms at any given time. Teachers will be sharing more information soon regarding specific presentation schedules for each student.

Any person attending Exhibition as a visitor will need to adhere to the visitor requirements outlined below. Staff will be checking for proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test taken 72 hours prior to event at the entrance to Exhibition. Masks must be worn at all times while inside classrooms, regardless of test or vaccination status.

If you are a remote family, or are unable to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 PCR test taken 72 hours prior to Exhibition, there will be virtual options available for students and families! Please stay tuned for more information.

We realize that this may cause extra planning and organizing for families--we appreciate the extra care in helping to keep our community safe during our first Exhibition in-person since Fall 2019! We are excited to give our students the opportunity to shine and share about their learning this semester!

Visitors to Da Vinci Schools must show proof of either a COVID vaccination or negative PCR/Antigen test (taken within the last 72 hours) in addition to wearing a face covering while indoors to ensure the safety of our school community. This does not apply to brief encounters such as picking up a sick student or dropping off a Chromebook. Home tests are not accepted. When you check-in to a Da Vinci site, you will be asked to show your vaccination card (paper or digital) or a negative test and I.D.

Da Vinci will not be requiring proof of either a COVID vaccination or negative PCR/Antigen test for school-sponsored activities occurring outside school hours that are held outdoors, or for sporting events in the gym (per CIF guidelines).
