Dear RSU 21 Families,

Happy Friday! As we move deeper into summer, I hope you're finding time to relax and create lasting memories with family and friends.

This week, our maintenance team has been hard at work cleaning and preparing our schools for the new school year. Their dedication ensures our facilities will be in top shape for all of you when you return in September.

With the Fourth of July holiday coming up next week, I want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable time. I hope you all have the opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the meaning of independence with your loved ones.

As always, thank you for your continued support of our school district. Enjoy the weekend!

Much love,

Terri Cooper

ReachMyTeach to replace School Messenger

Dear RSU 21 families, students, and staff,

This fall, we are replacing School Messenger with a new platform called ReachMyTeach, a company founded by educators and based right here in southern Maine. This platform makes it easy for all of you to connect in more ways than we currently have access to.

With ReachMyTeach, you are able to send messages via text, email, or WhatsApp. This platform empowers educators to communicate with families and vice versa. It also offers more robust translation services for our families who speak other languages, a vital component of the district’s DEI efforts.

Before selecting this platform to replace School Messenger, we initiated a pilot program involving a variety of staff members in the district and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

At this time, no further action is necessary on your part other than to be aware that our communication platform is changing.

Please join me in celebrating this exciting transition as we work to make district communications more convenient, modern, and accessible for everyone.

I hope you have a wonderful summer.

Sincerely,

Jamie Jensen
