Dear members and friends:

If you were unable to attend the Grant Awards Celebration, we missed you! More than 300 members and guests attended this spectacular event hosted at Temple Beit HaYam.

Congratulations to all the finalists and to the recipients of our five $100,000 Impact Grants. As Season 8 comes to a close, we have awarded $2,332,000 to nonprofits operating in Martin County.

In her remarks at the event, Nancy Wong shared some observations that all members should hear.

  • There are 76 Impact100 chapters, with 11 outside the U.S.
  • More than $160 million has been awarded to nonprofits by all the chapters since the inception of the Impact100 movement in 2001.
  • 8 years old, Impact100 Martin is at the median of chapter age.
  • With 510 members, Impact100 Martin is in the top 20% by size.
  • We are in the top 1/3 in terms of aggregate giving regardless of number of years in existence.

Wow, isn’t that something! In 8 short years, we have become a shining star not only in Martin County but in the Impact100 Global constellation.

Congratulations and thank you to our hardworking Board of Directors and all their committee members for a milestone year. The nonprofit community knows we are here to stay and are significant investors in Martin County. The members of our community who benefit from these projects know they are seen, heard and valued. And other chapters routinely ask us for advice as they are putting air under their wings. We are making an impact!

It has been my honor and joy to serve as your President for three years and Membership Co-Chair prior to that. We stand on the shoulders of all who have served before us and look ahead with great optimism for continued growth under Sue Whittington’s leadership.

With gratitude for your generosity no matter the form it takes.

Maureen Cotter, President

Congratulations to the 2025 Impact100 Martin Grant Recipients!

What a night! More than 300 Impact100 Martin members came together to cast their votes and select the five grant recipients for 2025. Seven incredible finalists shared powerful presentations about their transformative projects, making for an inspiring and emotional evening.

After a very close vote, five outstanding organizations were awarded grants:

The Grant Awards Celebration was the perfect culmination to applaud so many milestones! Below are just a few reasons we should be proud!

  • Reaching 500 members
  • Providing $100,000 transformational grants to 5 local nonprofits
  • Record breaking attendance at the Grant Awards Celebration
  • Record number of members who educated themselves about the finalists projects
  • Record number of members who voted
  • Record number of volunteer hours for Impact100 Martin

The common thread for everything we accomplished is the passion and generosity of the Impact100 Martin members and the dedication of the nonprofits to make Martin County a community that takes care of people in need, cares about the environment, shows concern for the well being of its residents, values education and the arts.

A special thank you to the members of the Grants Committee. The time, thought and thoroughness they gave to the process is what allows members to know that each project that makes it as a finalist is a very worthy project.

Well done friends!
