Week of January 7-11 2019
It's time to unfold new pages and
start a new chapter in your life
because it's a New Year!

Dear Southern Door Community,
The month of January brings a new year and new beginnings. It is an especially significant time of year for me as seven years ago on January 2nd, I began my first day as Superintendent —providing me with an opportunity to give back to my “home” community as a graduate of Southern Door High School. It truly has been a pleasure and rewarding experience to continue my service and educational journey working with such a dedicated team!
Here’s to a great start of the 2019 year—celebrating all the great things that define us, acknowledging each other’s efforts, rising up to meet our challenges, inspiring those around us to reach their personal bests, and continuing our reputation of Southern Door being Eagle Strong and a great place to educate children!

IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT DROP-OFF LANE & TRAFFIC FLOW
Some parents have asked that all be reminded of the procedures for using the “drop-off lane” by the elementary/middle schools. The student drop-off lane is clearly marked for your convenience. Parents are asked to remain in the car and have their students exit the vehicle quickly and safely. Parents wishing to spend more time with their students (to write a note, put on student’s coat, etc.) need to park their car and then walk their child to the office. Please follow these guidelines as well as the directions of staff on duty, each day before school. Staff supervision is not provided until 7:30am, so children should not be dropped off prior to that time. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in ensuring that our drop-off process in the morning is safe and flows as smoothly as possible.
