HELP NEEDED ON SATURDAY: Help needed at 6:30am to open and meet the community. Helpers needed all morning. THEN THOSE WITH TRUCKS needed at noon as we close shop and take leftovers to donation sites. Thanks for making this a fun day together as we meet and greet the community.

We want to honor our moms on Mother’s Day, May 14, with a picture slideshow. You are invited to submit a picture of your mother, whether historical or current, with you or not.

PASTOR GREG IS RETIRING this summer; Greg & Becky’s last Sunday here will be July 30. The Pastoral Search Committee has begun the process of finding the next leader of First Church of God. The committee includes Bill Buettner, Linda Cavalla, Sam Lucido, David Pierro, Joan Wilhelm, Harry Yee, and counseling minister Rev. Lloyd Moritz. They will keep the congregation informed as they move along in this process.

As we enter a time of leadership transition, it is essential to spend time in prayer together. You are invited to pray with us Sunday mornings, 9:15am-10am in Room 14. This prayer team will focus on supporting and encouraging our leaders during this time of transition. Graduates will be honored Sunday, June 4. If you’re graduating from high school, college, or higher, we want to honor you (date TBD). In the wee hours of April 13, a drunk driver hit Maria’s truck parked in front of her house and knocked the truck into her 2nd vehicle parked near the truck. Both vehicles were older and not insured for collision coverage, and both were declared “totaled”, leaving Maria without transportation and strapped for funds to replace one of the vehicles. 

A letter from the school board was distributed to EEC staff and parents/grandparents seeking donations to help Maria's family. It is our hope that some of the church members will also participate in the love offering and reach out to this dear woman in a show of love and support.

Jen grew up in this church, and we want to honor her with a simple card shower. She lives in Phoenix, and time will not allow a formal shower.
