SPEC-CLEAN Celebrates 20 Years of Excellence

"Rich DeBlasi was among the early pioneers of the data center cleaning industry. Since 1983, Rich has overseen the cleaning of IT facilities across the Northeast, gaining firsthand insight into the evolving demands of critical environments. Over the years, he observed a growing gap—while technology advanced rapidly, the cleaning methods and standards required to protect these environments was not keeping pace.

Recognizing this need, Rich founded SPEC-CLEAN on March 6, 2006 to set a higher standard of care for the industry.

As we move into our third decade, we’re excited to announce that Sheilah Purcell has joined the SPEC-CLEAN team as Senior Business Development Manager.

Sheilah has more than two decades of experience spanning UPS, HVAC, generators, and environmental and sustainability services. She has built a reputation for delivering high-impact solutions to data centers and creating exceptional customer experiences through smart, reliable, and efficient service programs. She is excited to work with operators on reducing operational risks, strengthening reliability, and driving greater efficiencies using SPEC-CLEAN’s advanced professional services to prevent failures from happening.

Outside of her professional work, Sheilah is a dedicated mom of four girls, Girl Scout leader, and member of WiMCO, iWomen and 7x24 Exchange. As a leader, she is passionate about encouraging diversity within the industry and delivering responsible solutions to protect our environment as digital infrastructure continues to grow.
