BOMA California joined fellow supporters of Proposition 36 in Sacramento yesterday for a pivotal Proposition 36 implementation meeting in Downtown Sacramento. BOMA Cal President Glenn Good and Statewide Administrator Matthew Hargrove represented commercial property owners and tenants committed to supporting the successful implementation of this new law.
The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers from multiple sectors, including prominent public officials who shared their insights. Among those in attendance were Senators Tom Umberg and Roger Niello, Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper, Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig, and Sacramento County District Attorney Thien Ho, along with representatives from major retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Home Depot.
Prop 36—the Homelessness, Drug Addiction, and Theft Reduction Act—passed with overwhelming support in November.
