New IPCT proposals scheduled to be launched in September

The Ontario government has announced it is looking to connect 600,000 more people to a family doctor or primary care provider by launching the next call for Interprofessional Primary Care Team (IPCT) proposals this month, creating or expanding approximately 78 primary care teams across the province.

This new $250 million investment is part of the government’s $3.4 billion Primary Care Action Plan and brings the province one step closer to connecting everyone in Ontario to primary care by 2029.

Once more information regarding this new round of IPCT proposals is received, we will share next steps. If you would like to have an early conversation around potentially being part of this funding opportunity, you can reach out to us at hello@mlpcn.ca.

A new way of registering NPs in Ontario

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in Ontario are now being registered under a single classification - a new framework that is part of a national collaborative effort (all provinces and territories except for Quebec) to improve patient access to care by enabling NPs to work more easily across Canada and across patient populations.
