Saturday, December 20 through Friday, December 26
Opening Prayer: God of light and life, you sent us your Word so that we might know you fully and see your glory, full of grace and truth. Hold us close as we join all of creation in singing a new song to you, for you continue to do marvelous things. Amen.
Consider: Consider this theme for the week’s text.
It all starts with a Word. Light. Promise. Savior. This is the one for whom we have waited. Our long-suffering hopes are about to be fulfilled.

Reflect and Connect: Reflect on the following questions; connect in conversation with others.
- What was a high point of your day? What was a low point?
- God created with a word, and then God’s Word became flesh. What is the most amazing thing you have ever created? What is the most important word or words you have ever spoken?
- For the littles: Do you like to fingerpaint? What can you paint?
Do: By acting on what we learn, we make God’s word come alive. Do the following activity this week.
Create something new. Bake, paint, write, carve, plant, quilt. Celebrate God’s word in your creation.
