In a few short days, we will host our 2nd annual EMDR Walk in the Park! We are excited to lace up our sneakers and walk with over 120 participants to raise awareness and funds for EMDR therapy. Read on to learn how you can participate. On October 10th, we will join in celebrating World Mental Health Day. Later in October, we are hosting our first in-person EMDR Basic training since pre-pandemic times. We know many of our Faculty have eagerly awaited the return of in-person trainings and we thank you once again for sticking with us through the transition to virtual and now the gradual return to in-person. We will begin offering more in-person trainings in 2024, as well as continue to train in the virtual environment. You may have also noticed the re-introduction of R-TEP/G-TEP trainings into our training schedule. The Importance of the Social Work Compact, PSYPACT, and Counseling Compact

Have you heard about these three interstate compacts? Social Work Licensure Compact Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) Counseling Compact Each of these compacts, when enacted, would respectively allow licensed social workers, psychologists and counselors to provide both telehealth and in-person practice across state lines. One of the significant impacts of these compacts is an increased ability to provide mental health services to populations currently underserved, isolated, or suddenly impacted by disaster. HAP Booth at the 2023 EMDRIA Conference During the recent EMDRIA Conference in Arlington, VA Trauma Recovery/HAP was fortunate to catch up with many long time volunteers and supporters, as well as meet lots of new people interested in supporting our mission!
