If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it.

To all MGH faculty and trainees:

The Center for Faculty Development announces the first MGH Ode to Joy—an in-person celebration to recognize the incredible talent that exists outside of and beyond the talent performed in MGH labs, clinics, and OR, and revel together in the transformative power of artistic expression.

We hereby send out a call for art on the theme of joy in any of these categories:
  • anime
  • crafts
  • creative writing (fiction/non-fiction/poetry)
  • dance (ballet, modern, hip hop, tango, etc.)
  • drama
  • drawing/painting
  • movie
  • music (performance/composition)
  • photography
  • sculpture
  • other

We have gathered judges to review your submissions, the goal to showcase art and performance from across these categories at the celebration, scheduled for JUNE 10, 5-7 PM (location TBD).

Please submit, as is relevant to your chosen work of artistic production, a word document, photo, video, or recording to this form by APRIL 15, 2024.
Indicate in the case of longer performance art and longer pieces of creative writing a section you want the judges to focus on (10 minutes/500 words).
