Ten years ago, the Healdsburg community welcomed us in, and the Humane Society of Sonoma County welcomed the Healdsburg community to our family. We held an open house filled with food, adoptable pets, and great vibes.

Now, we’re doing it again!

What inspires you most about HSSC?

"In my 17 years as a volunteer and donor I have seen stray cats become trusting, scared cats become confident, unsocial kittens begin to purr and all get adopted.

I’ve seen camp kids learn how to pet animals and to read body language and I’ve seen people in need throughout the county helped by the food pantry and by the Community Veterinary Clinic.

All of this happens because of dedicated staff and volunteers and because of generous donors."
