Tonight is the beginning of our mid-week study of Jonah's gospel.
This six week journey will walk you through the ugly truth of Nineveh and the power of God’s Truth to transform every person. The study will help us explore the historical meaning for Jonah’s contemporary readers. However, we will not stay stuck in the past. We will explore Jonah’s present day meaning for the Church!
Jonah’s Gospel is more than just a study; it's also an exploration on the theology of forgiveness and the practice of walking in that forgiveness.
Interwoven into each of these lessons are practical activities designed by psychologist Dr. Everett Worthington, leading expert in forgiveness research, to walk us through the REACH model of forgiveness. The REACH activities included in this study were designed with a Christian emphasis and for the non-professional use.
The resources and activities are designed to help the participants reflect on any unforgiveness in his or her life as the bible study reflects on the unforgiveness in Jonah’s life.
