I hope you had a fun Halloween! Time to start thinking about Thanksgiving and the holidays!

With Thanksgiving upon us, I want to thank all of you out there who take part in the studio in some way. Whether you come every week for classes or just read the newsletter, I appreciate your interest and support.

I have the best job - I do what I love and everyone is always happy to see me! I am surrounded by smiles and creativity, and am truly fortunate.

Please save the date for the upcoming open studio. If you can make it, come by and say hello!

I'll be selling jewelry, windows, wall art, and suncatchers!

Nov 2 and 3, 2024

Holliston Mill Open Studios

24 Water St, Holliston, MA

11-4:00

Please note, this event is not at my studio (though it’s only three blocks away). The Holliston Mill artists generously allow me to be a guest artist every year!

The New England Mosaic Society (NEMS) annual meeting and gallery reception was really wonderful. It's so nice to see my mosaic friends from all over New England, and meet new ones.

By the way, NEMS is for everyone - from mosaic enthusiasts to professionals - so feel free to join (just $40 a year, or $25 if you join mid-year).

You can join Zoom meetings with different artists from around the country, take part in gallery shows, attend events, participate in community projects, or get information about classes!

My piece on the right, Pathways, sold on the day of the show and there are many other pieces for sale. Or just go and admire! I was so impressed with the level of skill at the show.

This is my student Lisa and the piece that she submitted and sold at the show! Congrats Lisa!

Don't worry - sold pieces stay up until after the show ends, so you can check out the full experience.

It's not too late to check it out; it’s really worth your time!

Exhibition Location: The Narrows Center for the Arts,

Fall River, MA

Exhibition Dates: October 19 – December 14, 2024

Weekly Classes

Tuesdays and Thursdays

10-12:30

One of Sue's beautiful holiday gifts!

Abby just moved to the area and took her first class, great job!

Barbara made this for a dragonfly-loving friend. She makes such thoughtful gifts!

Linda worked so hard on this topographical map of Wisconsin for her nephew! The detail is amazing; a true labor of love!

Melissa's husband makes artificial intelligence images and then Melissa mosaics them. Stunning!

Susan had fun with this piece for a friend!

Filly created this beautiful tray as a housewarming gift!

Suncatchers

The dates are out for the classes that will run May - Sept, 2025, so you can save the date.

Both classes and the suncatchers  are also available for sale at my upcoming open studio, and artwork is for sale in the studio by appointment.

Windows

The dates are set for next year’s windows classes! Click above to save the date that works for you!

Or ask a loved one to give you a gift certificate for this or another class!

Sabrina came into class saying she wanted to make a gray cat; I suggested making it out of jewelry components. We drew out a cat silhouette and she went to work. She loves how it turned out!

This is one of my resin pieces that will be available for sale at the open studio this weekend. It’s even more beautiful in person!

All of these transparent pieces can be hung in a window or against a wall, for very different looks.

Monthly

Ladies Night Out

Create Mosaic Jewelry

There are still openings in the Nov 8 Ladies' Night Out. Join us!

Friends Kate, Miriam, and Sharon did a great job in the October Ladies Night Out. (Delicate pieces are left to try on cardboard so they can be transported safely.)

Parent/Child Class

Tuesdays 3:30-5

Emi loves the water and makes many beach-themed pieces!

Evie makes lots of jewelry as gifts and incorporated abalone scraps for the first time. Well done!

Scout Troops

I offer this patch to scouts who attend a class with their troop! Ages eight and up learn to cut the tile!

It's a great time to plan for the next school year or have a special summer activity!

Private Parties

MG Salon in Medway came to the studio for an evening event - check out what they made below! The light switch covers will look even better when they are grouted at home!

If you are in a garden, neighborhood, card, or book group, let’s plan an event!  Maybe a family reunion coming up?

Mosaic Saturdays

November 9 still has openings!

Just click on the link above to register for this month or upcoming Saturdays.

Mosaic Saturdays will start being twice a month again January - June!

10-12:30 morning

12:45-3:15 afternoon

10-3:15 full day

Beautiful job, Kristy!

The two images above are actually the same glass-on-glass piece made by Rachel!

The top image is against a white wall, and the bottom image is the same piece in a window with the light coming through.

Different people prefer different looks! The glass-on-glass (gluing the stained glass directly on clear glass) technique gives some flexibility about how a piece can look!

Another one of Margaret's stunning shell flower pieces with a fantastic border!

Gift Certificates

Always a thoughtful gift!

Shopping!

You are welcome to make an appointment to shop at the studio.

Linda purchased this mandala mixed media piece.

It's best to text or email with times that work for you, and we can get something set up!

Hugs! Cheryl
