Featured Opportunity: Facilities Management Roles

This spring, students have had success getting jobs in facilities management, where they use their HVAC or electrical skills to help maintain a particular building. These are generalist roles, so sometimes they use their technical training; other times they may make keys to help with an unexpected leak. The power of these jobs is that it's a chance to prove yourself and gain invaluable experience in the industry. It helps you overcome the challenge of the trades job market, where most HVAC or electrical jobs require at least three years of experience. Students who do well in these roles often earn a spot where they specialize in their field and earn hours towards licensure. Check out Camy and Eric for recent examples.
