The Message this Week

Preaching Text: Revelation 21:1-6; 22:1-5

For healing! Last week we had the image of the beasts; this week we have images of life and healing. Living in a world with beasts is exhausting and wounding. There is a promise of full and complete healing one day but we can also get tastes of this healing now. As part of the service, we will offer a special prayer and anointing with oil for healing. For those who wish, Stephen Ministers will be available for more prayer/conversation after the service. Contact Pastor Trudy or click HERE for more information about Stephen Ministry.

Healing God, thank you for accompanying us in our pain and for providing us abundant healing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

WONDERING...

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.

Why do a healing service?

• May we treat our environment as an extension of your very being, with love, praise, honor, and joy, that all of creation might flourish.
• May your benevolence be our model for life and society—that all would have a fair chance to enjoy the returns of their work and be able to share the plenty of their harvest.
• There is no balm like the comfort of your presence. Bring a special word of healing to all who face health challenges.
• Bring us at last with all the saints into your new creation, that we might live in joyful praise to you for all time.

All things exist in and through you, loving God. Therefore we entrust our prayers, our faith, and our lives to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

As our congregation grows, we are making space to bring in an Associate Pastor to help serve our members and community, and to expand our mission at GLC. We are seeking four more members to serve on our Call Committe to assist in recruiting, interviewing and providing input during the process. The call committee should represent all parts of the congregation with appropriate variety of genders and ages. If you are interested in learning more and/or to express your interest in this committee, please reach out to Monica Noonan at 773-255-9006.
