We are making a change in the schedule to promote this financial wellness festival that we just found out about from one of our members. This is a Prudential sponsored free event with dFree that is happening this Saturday, April 26.

There will be sessions for youth and adults (11 and up) including:

How to build a financial plan
Credit & Equity
The Smart Teen’s Guide to Owning the Future I
Money Moves for Teens

NYC Auto Show

Sunday, April 26th

2PM - 5PM

This will be our second time going to the NYC Auto Show. Again we'll be talking about budgeting for a big expense like a car or house, etc. Lots of freebies and pics to be had. You'll learn about how cars are made from our discussions and by just listening to the announcers as well. We'll also stage a debate between an EV Car buyer and a Gas Car buyer. Which team will win? This will credit towards your car maintenance award too.

Note: Personally at and after the last show I (Todd Sayles) picked up a vacation and two cars myself with great discounts. The info I gathered there helped me with my car choices. Beyond that it was a part of my faith walk to come out of repairing some of my older cars to purchasing newer technology cars. That lowered my future car costs budget with much less to do going forward. Lots to learn at the show.

Golf Range

Thursday, May 10th, 7PM

In keeping with this year's general theme of tough love, the teens will discuss Wanting more and forgiveness, while the kids will talk about forgiving. After the discussions, It's off to the golf range to hit some balls!!

Active members and seniors contact us for help. About 8 projects completed successfully so far.

We just started a new helps list exclusively for our Dads and Kids Hangout community and seniors in Christ Church. Volunteer services include appliance repair, painting, moving, plumbing, installations, some car repair and much more.

There are also giveaways like appliances, beds, iPhones and more for those members in need. Some activity items are basically free like skating or swimming for the year. Others are available for more than half off for dining, home products, and more.

Active members of Dads and Kids Hangout can access the list from our WhatsApp Group. Should you have something to offer let us know and we'll see if it can be added to the list. Thank you in advance for your kindness towards our small group community.

Calling All Volunteers

Hangout Mentors

Calling all young male and female adults and older men who are fathers or not! Our hangouts are tailored for all sorts of kids. Some or our kids just need a male figure to encourage them or push them. If you have some time on a 2nd or 4th Saturday think about joining us to see how God can lead you to be that sounding board our future leaders need. .

Marketing and Social Media

As a group we are in need of some easy marketing assistance for our hangouts.

We can show you how to create and email these marketing flyers in a few minutes. This help will allow Nigel and I more time to talk to parents and better mentor the kids.

Youth Funders

Feeling generous? You can help our young people to attend a hangout by sponsoring one or more of them or by providing transportation there and back. Let me know so I can add you to our helpers list, so we can reach out when assistance is needed.
