This event is designed for those currently serving in the vocal, band, tech, host, and/or creative team...AND... it is PERFECT for anyone who has felt called to serve on one of our worship teams.

We will align ourselves with the worship ministry's purpose, principles, and practice as we kick off a new season together!

  • BAND TEAM | instrumentalists such as guitar, drums, keys, band, strings, and winds
  • TECH TEAM | technicians who operate cameras, lighting, and screens
  • CREATIVE TEAM | creatives such as photographers, artists, and visual designers
  • HOST TEAM | communicators who speak during live welcomes

Dinner will be provided. (Therefore, please limit your attendance to those who are only interested in serving.)

NOTE: We don’t plan to provide childcare, but if you have a situation that would prevent you from attending, please don’t hesitate to contact Kyley Myers. Additionally, please notify us if you have a food allergy.

Please register by Friday, July 17, so we can place the food order.

NextGen Youth Choir (3rd-12th grade) 🎶

Our annual NextGen Sunday is just around the corner on August 16. This year, we would love to have a HUGE youth choir of 3rd through 12th graders to sing during our morning services. No singing experience is needed, just a heart for worship!

We ask that you try to attend BOTH of the rehearsals listed below. However, we also understand that your schedules are busy and you may have some conflicts. If you are unable to attend both, then please commit to at least ONE of the rehearsals below to participate on Aug 16.

  • Rehearsal: Sunday, August 2 @ 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Dress Rehearsal: Sunday, August 9 @ 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM (lunch provided)
  • NextGen Services: Sunday, August 16 @ 8:00 to 11:30 AM

Please register by July 26 so we can communicate the details before the first rehearsal!

First Step

New to Worthington Christian Church? Join Us for ’First Step’!

We believe the church is more than a place to attend on the weekend. It’s where community forms, lives are changed, and people encounter Jesus. We want you to feel like you belong here. That’s why we created "First Step."

During First Step, you’ll meet our team, hear the vision behind our church, and discover ways to move from attending to belonging—whether that’s joining a group, getting baptized, or serving alongside others.

📅 Mark Your Calendar:

Join us on Sunday, August 16, at 9:00 AM for ’First Step’! This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is new (or mostly new) to our church family.

Led by Outreach Minister Jay Scott, this event offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can ask honest questions and engage in meaningful discussions. Whether you’re exploring faith or looking to connect with others, you’ll find a warm welcome here!

Grief Share

Our next session of GriefShare is Sunday, August 2 to Sunday, October 25 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in rm. 137.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel on a daily basis.

GriefShare is a ministry designed to help you through this hurt.

WCC offers a 13-week GriefShare support group that meets on Sunday evenings. We are composed of a group of friendly, caring people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.

Each week, you will receive helpful information on grief-related topics, have time to share in a group discussion, and discuss how to apply these concepts through a personal workbook. There is a $20 fee for the class, which covers the cost of the workbook; you don’t have to purchase it until the first day of class. Scholarships are available upon request.
