Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8:00 am
Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:30 am
From Father David +
TURNING OUR FACES TO THE FUTURE

From the Gospel for last Sunday, Jesus relates to his disciples as he turns his face towards Jerusalem. I am grateful to Fr. Doug+ for his homily reflection on this scripture especially as it pertains to looking to the future for Resurrection. I am particularly impressed how Fr. Doug wove his discussion of reflecting on “holy memories” and how the experience of those memories helps to fashion what the future may be.

As I continue to reflect on “Holy Memories” that will remain with me, I specifically identify the incredible outreach commitment by the people of Resurrection to care for those in our community. The outreach team and all who collaborate with this ministry are the true Body of Christ. All who have contributed by any means to the support of Resurrection’s mission of care and hospitality are living in Christ’s call to love one another and to help fulfill the action of love. We are reminded just how important this ministry is to those who need it and are blessed by it. Our social environment calls all of us to act in love especially where there are no other institutions who can provide it.

I am so very humbled by our parish and especially with the leadership of Annie and Stew Scott, Pat Carle, Gabe and Rich Conn and all who help to create and direct our mission of care to the communities in need. Resurrection is defined by this ministry, and we must always give thanks for the unselfish support that it takes to keep it going. God’s deepest blessings to all who give and serve!

The second phase is the actual "Search" where the Committee will receive names of candidates and conduct interviews.

The final or third phase is "Selection" when the Search Committee will discern and present its recommendation to the Vestry. The Vestry will then discern and make a final decision regarding the Call to our new Rector.
