Remembering Dr. Susan Love

With heavy hearts, we at the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF) mourn the loss of Dr. Susan Love, a renowned surgeon, author, and tireless advocate for breast cancer research. Dr. Love, who passed away at the age of 75 due to recurrent leukemia, was a beacon of hope and knowledge in the fight against breast cancer.

VBCF was privileged to bring Dr. Love to Virginia numerous times, sharing her invaluable insights through talks and book signings. Her passion and dedication were palpable, inspiring us all to continue the fight against breast cancer. Her book, "Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book," has been a crucial resource for countless individuals navigating this disease.

Calling Women with Metastatic Breast Cancer & Neuropathy Experience

The VCU Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine are conducting a study to understand how patients with

metastatic breast cancer make choices about chemotherapy alteration (dose delay, reduction, or

discontinuation) due to chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The results of this study will inform clinical decision-making to better meet patients’ desired treatment outcomes.
