Transportation Bond

A Transportation Bond Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 in the amount not to exceed $17.5 million. This will be known as City of Lakeway, Texas Proposition A. The current list includes 11 expected projects, with items relating to right-of-way acquisition for the future widening of RM 620, traffic signalizations, culvert improvements, sidewalk construction, road construction projects and road resurfacing work.

Over the last several months, Lakeway City Council discussed possible transportation projects to be added as part of a list for improvements to the Lakeway transportation system. Besides discussion in previous City Council meetings, a City Manager Town Hall focusing on these possible transportation projects was also held in April 2022. The City of Lakeway received numerous comments from City Council meetings and the town hall based on the possible list of projects, which has since been revised. Water Restrictions

Even though the Lakeway area received rain recently, the hot, dry summer has led to some water restrictions. Lake Travis and Buchanan are still under 60% full at this point, according to the LCRA. Plus, we still have a few more weeks of Summer. Starting this week, Lakeway MUD implemented Stage 3 restrictions for its customers. The restrictions kicked in on Thursday, Sept. 1 and affect irrigation schedules pertaining to the outdoor use of an in-ground or automatic irrigation system or hose-end sprinkler. Irrigation days are based on the last digit of your address, with no irrigation between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. CLICK HERE for a link to the updated irrigation schedule. If your water is provided by another district in Lakeway, please CLICK HERE for links to information on any restrictions they may have in place.
