While a major component of the foundation is scholarships and awards, the foundation offers several giving priorities for your consideration. These giving priorities support students and the college in multiple important areas. Each priority is listed below.

Cougar Fund

This allows the foundation to help the college respond nimbly to changing circumstances. Your gift will be used where the need is greatest.

Strategic College Initiatives

These funds support the college strategic plan pillars by: strengthening teaching, technologies, educational tools, adaptive research approaches and flexible hybrid learning strategies. Specific funds in this category include:

Communication
Data Analysis and Literacy
College Engagement and Well Being
Employee Experience and Retention
Pathway and New Program Development
Student Enrollment and Retention

Student Activities and Events

Sponsor a pre-selected event or activity where students and/or staff are recognized for their achievements and learn new skills to better prepare them in the future. Minimum annual donation of $1,000.

Student Health and Wellness

Provide students with access to basic life needs so they can thrive while attending LCCC.

Cougar Cabinet Food Pantry
Student Emergency Fund (family and personal care, housing, rental and utility assistance, and transportation)

Student Scholarships and Awards

Help meet the full demonstrated need of every student.

The foundation offers several ways you can make your annual contribution.

Payroll deduction (total gift amount divided equally by 26 pay periods)
Credit card – one-time payment
Credit card – recurring monthly (select an amount and it will be charged monthly)
Cash or check

All employees who contribute will become a member of the “Cougar Club” and receive a thank you recognition magnet. (Recognition levels based on total donations received starting July 1 through June 30)

All donors will be invited to a thank you celebration in May 2027.

Depending upon your gift, other recognitions are available.

Cougar Club - $1 to $499

Loyalty Society - $500 to $1,499

Presidents' Circle - $1,500 to $2,999

Founders' Circle - $3,000 to $4,999

1966 Society - $5,000+

Last year, nearly 65 employees made generous contributions. The average employee contribution was $275. We appreciate all levels of support and encourage all employees, faculty and staff to participate.

The goal for this year’s Employee Annual Appeal is $15,000.

A $275 donation is about $11 per payroll or about $23 per month.
A $500 donation is about $20 per payroll or about $42 per month.
A $1,500 donation is about $58 per payroll or $125 per month.
