The March Lunch featured an engaging and energizing talk by Chamber member Kim Eley with KWE Publishing

Kim challenged us to embrace what makes us uniquely us, find confidence in our strengths, and celebrate the qualities that help us stand out—snorts and all. “What makes you different isn’t something to hide—it’s something to celebrate.” — Kim Eley

Attendees walked away inspired, empowered, and ready to show up more authentically in both life and business.

Thank you to the Appomattox Regional Library System for sponsoring the event, to the Prince George County Regional Heritage Center for hosting and to everyone who joined us for another great Chamber lunch. A special thank-you to Kim Eley for such a memorable and motivating presentation!

Thank you to Dr. Debbie Sydow for her Leadership

The H/PG Chamber was honored to present Richard Bland College a Certificate of Appreciation at our recent Chamber Lunch. We were especially honored to have Dr. Debbie Sydow in attendance to accept the award.

The certificate reads:

“RBC exemplifies the very best in community partnership—hosting events, mentoring students, serving on the Chamber Board and committees, and thoughtfully matching ideal RBC students with Chamber internship opportunities. RBC leads by example, setting ambitious goals and achieving them for the benefit of students, faculty, families, and the greater community. Adaptable, professional, generous, futuristic - Thank you!”

Dr. Sydow has been an incredible asset to Richard Bland College and to the Hopewell/Prince George region, leading with vision, dedication, and a deep commitment to student success and community partnership. Her impact will be felt for years to come, and she will truly be missed.

Thank you, Dr. Sydow, for your leadership, your service, and the lasting legacy you leave behind. We are grateful for all you have done for RBC and our community.

Appomattox River Regional Park Ground Breaking!

We were on hand to celebrate the official groundbreaking for part of the Appomattox River Trail. Supporters of this additional amenity including The Cameron Foundation, Virginia American Water Company, FOLAR, and Prince George County addressed the crowd just before the wildly popular AARP 5K race began. What a beautiful day for a park expansion and a 5K!
