In General, What IS Humor Camp?

From an intangible, emotional standpoint, it’s an uplifting, immersive, fun and interactive experience being held this October 8-11, 2026 in Jamestown, New York.

What is It’s Purpose, It’s Focus?

From a more practical, professional standpoint, our goal is to “Enlighten Up!” Joyfully combining wit and wisdom with information and insight, Humor Camp explores Humor’s role in helping people to better Cope, Communicate and Connect. For many, it’s also a unique opportunity to learn more about Humor’s role in the Mental Health equation and earn Continuing Education credits.

Why Jamestown, New York?

Did you know that Jamestown is the home of the National Comedy Center and the Lucy Desi Museum?  Not only was Lucille Ball born there, but this October, Jamestown (and the world) will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of “I Love Lucy.”  Our host city and the 2 museums will be bustling with plenty of festive anniversary activity.  Do you love Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel?  What better additional reason do you need to come to Humor Camp 2026?  Tell your friends. Bring your co-workers. Spread the news!

Meet the Humor Camp Leadership Team

Theresa Hummel-Krallinger – "T" to anyone who's spent 5 minutes with her — is the founder of High Five Performance, Inc. and a leadership and workplace culture consultant whose secret weapon has always been laughter.  A professional stand-up comedian over 20 years, Emmy Award winner, and Wharton CHRO program graduate, Theresa brings that rare combination of business credibility and comedic instinct to everything she does; from conference keynotes to management workshops to her "Meet the Author" interview series.  Her “Make Waves” career development program has been helping employees and organizations stop treading water and start making a real splash since long before it became a book.  Theresa is a longtime member of SHRM and ATD, a speaker on the HR and organizational development circuit, and spent 18 years on the faculty at Temple University.  Theresa understands, “Humor isn't a soft skill – it’s a survival skill.  The best facilitators don't train – they converse.”

In today’s world where mental health challenges are abundantly accelerating and the social, emotional skills essential to making genuine, human connections are dangerously declining… in today’s world where it seems that nothing (or everything) is funny…
