National Homeownership Month is observed every June to highlight the value of owning a home, the importance of building generational wealth, and the need to make homeownership more attainable.

The month is used to emphasize financial health, the stability of homeownership, and its role in strengthening local communities and stabilizing families.

Join us July 7th for our next Women Build class: Refinishing!!

We will learn how to refinish or refurbish a variety of wood features in a collaborative and friendly environment geared toward empowering women!

Registration is required.

Join us June 24 for Bingo night at Lucky's on 16th!

A percentage of Lucky’s profits from the ENTIRE DAY go towards Habitat, so invite friends, family, and co-workers to dine and drink at Lucky’s to benefit Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity!

Jeff began volunteering with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore about two years ago after accompanying his wife as she explored volunteer opportunities. Seeing a need that matched his skill set, he stepped in to help with electrical checkout and repairs on battery-operated tools and garden equipment. Today, Jeff volunteers several days a week, also helping organize and stock the store.

“I enjoy the variety of the work and the people I get to work alongside. Hopefully I’m making a small difference in helping people get their first homes and start a new life.”

If you would like to donate your time and talent by volunteering with Habitat, please contact Kelly Murphy at kelly.murphy@cvhabitat.org or 319.366.4485, ext. 104.
