Tyler began volunteering with YVCHR as part of our Goat City Committee back in 2019. He was a 6th-grader at the time and provided valuable input on the design of the structure that was built by teams of youth volunteers at Bluebird Gap Farm between 2019 - 2020. Tyler was a consistent member of the construction crew and says that the Goat City was his favorite project because he was able to meet lots of people over several different work days, and he enjoyed hanging out with the goats. Since then, he has participated in several different projects. His advice to new youth volunteers is to "work hard, do your best, and try new things." Tyler himself was recruited by his older sister, who has also been involved with YVCHR since she was in middle school.
According to Tyler, the best thing about volunteering is helping people and giving back to the community. When he's not volunteering, he enjoys sports, building things, and going camping.
