Wake Forest Center for Active Aging | | September is in full swing! In this week’s Wink, you’ll absolutely FALL for new classes that are now online, learn more about upcoming events, and get informed regarding the many services we provide. | | |
Hello friends,
As we enter fall, I’m filled with gratitude for the chance to grow together and get to know each of you better. Our first Tea with Thomasina was such a joy - it filled the room with thoughtful questions and meaningful conversation about how we can continue to serve you better. I’m grateful for your honesty, your patience, and the spirit of partnership you bring to this Center.
You’ll notice many new classes now online, with more exciting offerings just around the corner. We’re also welcoming new staff this month, which will help programs run more smoothly and create even more opportunities for you. Another exciting update is our strengthening collaboration with the Friends of the Northern Wake Senior Center as they rebrand with a new name that will align with the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging. We look forward to the reveal and to building a shared identity that amplifies our collective impact in the community.
Please join me Tuesday, Sept. 9, for Tea and Topics of Concern - a time to connect, share, and problem-solve together. Thank you for making this Center such a vibrant place to learn, connect, and thrive. I look forward to seeing you in the halls, in classes, or at our next Tea.
With gratitude,
Thomasina

The HVAC system is still being repaired and, while it makes certain areas warmer than usual, we’ve been told the part should arrive in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, please use the Center at your comfort level. Please note that both of our fitness rooms and Meeting Room E are not experiencing any HVAC issues.
We’re keeping the doors open because we want to be here for you if you want to be here. Thank you for your patience and grace while we wait.
