Since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated on April 22nd each year in an effort to both celebrate Mother Nature and all that the Earth provides for us, as well as to help raise awareness and bring action towards environmental issues.
Here at the office, we can rally around Earth Day every day to help Mother Nature all year long. To get started in seeing what you can do to help your business become more Earth friendly, consider the ideas below.
1.Bag the plastic bags! Encourage customers to bring their own shopping bags or put items in bags they already have.
2.Let There Be (Energy Efficient) Light! When replacing light bulbs in your store or shop, consider using LED bulbs that have a long life, are energy efficient, and are also ecologically friendly. The price has come down and there are now both βwarmβ and βcoolβ white colors to choose from.
3.Put Away That Paper! Replace paper mailings with email newsletters (like this one!) It saves trees and prevents a lot of waste.
Remember- The Earth is what we all have in common. π Have a great week!
