Celebrating 20 Years of Impact

Two hundred donors and volunteers joined together on September 17 to celebrate the Center's 20th anniversary as a 501(c)3. Highlights were many, including dance and song, words from Dr. Catherine Mutua, and the awarding of the Global Impact Award to Drs. Bonnie and Don Messer. This milestone could not have happened without your care, compassion, and support.

HIV Workshop in India

The Center is sponsoring a three-day workshop to take place October 11-13. The Tamilnad Christian Council's National Task Force on HIV/AIDS (NTFH) has contributed significantly to theological reflection, advocacy, education, and policy development.

NTFH emphasizes that HIV is not merely a public health concern, but an issue of justice, dignity, compassion, and human rights. Expected outcomes include capacity building and increased community engagement to address HIV.

LGBTQ+ Histories & Futures

The Center is proud to organize this 90 minute workshop that will take place at Park Hill United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 21 from 6-7:30pm. Learn more about important events and historical figures that have shaped LGBTQ+ movements in Colorado, the U.S., and the world. We'll be joined in person by the co-founder of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (1983) and the creator of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt (1987). You do not want to miss this free community event, in partnership with The Center on Colfax, Vivent Health, Colorado Health Network and Gilead.

Also this fall, we will have a workshop on stigma and discrimination (November 18).

International Period Poverty

The Center provides sanitary supplies and health education to over 1,200 young women in Maua and Meru, Kenya, and Kolkata, India.
