Celebrating a Lovely Apple Fest!

We are so grateful to all the families who joined us for this year’s Apple Fest! It was a joyful day of community, and we hope you had as much fun as we did.

We are excited to announce that this year's apple sale and Apple Fest raised $9,281 towards the Oneness Fund - almost 10% of our yearly goal!

There are some fantastic photos of that sunny fall day on our online photo gallery. Do you have any great pictures from Saturday's festivities? Please share them with us!

All apples must be picked up by dismissal Tuesday, October 7.

Half-Day on October 13

Please note that Monday, October 13 (Indigenous Peoples' Day) will be a half-day for students due to afternoon teacher training.

Dismissal will follow our normal half-day schedule:

• Little Stars & CPG – 11:30 AM
• Arbor – 11:35 AM
• Academy – 11:40 AM
• Ambassadors – 11:50 AM

United Nations Day – October 24

The Vision of United Nations Day

Since 1988, United Nations Day has been one of OFS’s most cherished traditions, created to honor the UN and foster global harmony. Now one of the largest school UN events, it welcomes ambassadors and diplomats from around the world.

The celebration empowers students as compassionate global citizens, with performances that share messages of peace, cooperation, and human potential. The school hopes to plant seeds of unity in the hearts of students and leaders alike.

United Nations Day 2025

We are excited to celebrate our annual United Nations Day with embassy guests from around the world on Friday, October 24th, from 10 am - 1 pm. Students in CPG-Grade 12 will be dismissed after the event at 1:30 pm. Little Stars will have a full day of school on this day.

Family Partnership

We warmly invite all OFS families to join us for this special event, and to contribute a dish that represents your family's cultural background to our United Nations Day luncheon. We are eagerly anticipating a fantastic UN Day celebration!

Family Dish Sign Up:

After the ceremony, parents and embassy guests are invited to a delicious luncheon of dishes that represent our family's heritage. We hope you will share a family recipe or regional delicacy with us!

New Parent Flag Sign-Up: 

Families are invited to wave small flags as their home countries are called. To ensure that we honor your country of origin and have enough flags for your family, please fill out the flag sign-up form below by October 13.

Prorated Extended Care Now Available

Families not yet enrolled in extended care—or looking to add before care or after care—can now register for prorated extended care from October through June. To enroll, please complete the online form linked below.

Welcoming New Families

At OFS, we greatly value the power of personal recommendations. Our parents have always been our strongest advocates, spreading the word about our school to those in their network.

Family Referral Program.

As a token of our appreciation, any current family who recommends OFS to a new family that enrolls will receive a deduction of $1,000 from their tuition fees. This program allows us to not only thank our loyal families but also welcome new members to our community. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to show our appreciation and to continue to grow our wonderful community.

Staggered Dismissal Schedule

Dismissal times at OFS are staggered so that we can maintain an orderly, safe carpool line. Please arrive no earlier than the start of your child's class dismissal times. Thank you for helping us keep dismissal working smoothly!

• Little Stars – 3:15 - 3:30 pm
• CPG – 3:30 - 3:45 pm
• Arbor – 3:35 - 3:50 pm
• Academy – 3:40 - 4:00 pm
• Ambassadors – 3:50 - 4:00 pm
