Issue #12 I August 22, 2025

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The New Trier Township FY 2026-2027 Agency Partner Application is now open!

Each year New Trier Township distributes financial support to non-profit agencies that provide social services to Township residents. Agencies must meet eligibility requirements and address one or more of the funding target areas. Learn more about the process on our website.

Apply here.

Applications will be accepted until September 5th, 2025, at 3pm.

Over the past two years, the New Trier Township Scholarship has transformed lives—providing $140,000 in support and helping at least 18 students pursue their college dreams at Oakton. This past year the Board decided to endow our scholarship, so that we can help residents with financial need help themselves in perpetuity. But the endowment hasn't had time to earn interest to replenish the fund. There is an urgent need for increased funding with scholarship applications already up by more than 15%—and expected to rise as the fall semester approaches. You can support the scholarship fund by donating here.

Make a difference with your donations!

You can drop off donations at the New Trier Township office on

Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM.

You can also conveniently donate from home by using our Amazon Wish List!

Pickles Group Fall Youth Program Registration Open through September 5

For kids and teens ages 6-18

National | Virtual | FREE

You have kids. You have cancer. No one prepared either of you for this.💚

The good news? Pickles Group knows what works. Research shows that kids whose parents have cancer benefit most from three things: honest, age-appropriate information about cancer, coping skills, and peer-to-peer support.

Our programs provide peer-to-peer support for kids and teens impacted by their parents or caregiver’s cancer.

Connect Over Cancer

5-weeks on Sundays: For kids and teens with parents who have ongoing, complex or advanced cancer.

Kids and teens facing a parent's cancer can find friendship, coping skills, and a community who just gets it.
