Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:

Saul was a man of faith, certain of his path in life. So certain, he persecuted those who followed the teaching of Jesus, the one who rose from the dead. On a trip to Damascus, the Risen Jesus appears to him as a bright light, knocking him to the ground, blinding him, as asking why he persecutes the Christian community.

This Damascus experience turned Saul into Paul and from persecuting Christians to becoming a chosen instrument, proving it is never too late to let Jesus change one's life.

Next weekend, we celebrate Paul experience of meeting the Risen Christ on the road to Damascus. It is a time to celebrate and a time to reflect on the Lord's call in our lives. How we are called to an ongoing conversion.

For our school and parish feast day, the Conversion of Saint Paul, Apostle, there's plenty of way to celebrate.

Please join us next weekend at a Service Project through Sandwich Builders and St. Robert's Center.

Then, on the eve of the feast day, our Director of Music, Dr. Jeong-A (Monica) Yum, in collaboration with the Chapman University Chorus and the Adoro Ensemble together with our Schola are preparing a Special Concert - 70 voices singing praise and thanksgiving to God for parish and school community.

Don't miss the School Fathers' Club Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning -- they are delicious! If you would like to meet the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Most Reverend José Gomez, he will be here to celebrate our 11:30am mass.

Many blessings,

Father Gil
